Oakville Junior Music Program

For Young Children Ages 3.5 – 6 Years

Children need music. At Klaudia's Music Studio, we believe that music is an essential element of every child's education.

Designed for children 3.5 – 6 years old without previous musical experience, this class is geared toward trying different musical instrument and hands-on playing. It helps with the decision about what musical instrument is the closest to the heart of the child. We welcome back all younger participants of our music summer camp who still do not take formal music lessons. Having fun with music is the key! No musical instruments needed, all is provided for you.

Drop in fee: $15, or $50 / month (includes 4 classes).

Saturdays: 10:00 – 11:15 am

Klaudia's Music Studio has been providing music introductory March Break Camp for young children of ages 5 – 7 since 2006. This year, a new camp programs are open for ages 8 to 12.

Students will explore which instrument they like, try to play it, get familiar with classical music as well as rock trends through informative instruction and interesting activities.

Instruments introduced: violin, viola, cello, double bass, guitar, drums, piano, harp, flute. Professional instructors will participate in delivering the knowledge in a fun way.

Program is specifically designed for children without musical experience, but also for those who already play an instrument and would like to try a new one.

March Break Camp March 12 – 16, 2012 for beginners in music:

* for ages 5 – 7 years old 9:30 AM – 12:00 NOON

* for ages 8 – 10 years old 1:30 PM – 4:00 PM

* for ages 11 – 12 years old 4:30 PM – 7:00 PM

This is our 7th year of our very successful music camp season.

If you are looking for a fun musical activity for your 4.5-8 year old child, or even siblings, we offer a unique musical experience.
One program is designed for different instruments introduction with focus on VIOLIN (4.5-7y.) and the second program is geared toward rock band, drums and all types of GUITAR (6-8y.), including classical. Basic theory introduction, listening to music, hands-on instrumental playing concludes with a mini-concert at the end of the week.

Please note that even though the programs are called Violin or Guitar, there will be WIDE VARIETY of musical instruments included each week – piano, viola, cello, double bass, harp, ukulele, etc. What it means, children will be able to keep their instrument (violin or guitar) for a full week of the camp.

Fee: $165 / child / week / half-day; 2.5 hours

Klaudia's Studio is starting a new class for 3.5 – 6 years olds. It is for children without musical experience, or for those who attended our summer music camps. We are starting on Saturday September 10th, 2011 at 10:30 – 11:30 am, $15 per class / drop in, or $100 / 10 classes. Register online.

Studio is expanding!

As of Friday June 24th all lessons will take place at our new location Glen Abbey United Church, 1469 Nottinghill Gate. We are very fortunate to have such a great space for ourselves. This new location will allow more simultaneous lessons for siblings and will create a pleasant environment for waiting family members.

The Music Summer Camp is a nice way to introduce children to music, encourage their interest and help them decide which one of those many instruments is close to their heart.
