Jovan Stojkovic is a young pianist from Toronto. Born in Belgrade, Serbia to classical musician parents, he moved to Toronto at the age of 4 and had little choice in whether or not he would study music in his early life. At the age of 16 he found his calling in piano and has since then taken it very seriously. During the early years he has competed and won in various competitions and music festivals across the GTA – including Kiwanis, ORMTA, and Lion’s Music Festival.

In 2012 he graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Music (BFA) from York University and went on to McGill University to complete his Master’s degree in piano performance in May 2014. Jovan has now returned to Toronto and is holding solo and chamber performances occasionally as well as preparing for international competitions.

Among his experiences throughout the years, Jovan has enjoyed sharing his knowledge through teaching with children and people of all ages and skill levels. To him it is especially rewarding when he can light the same fire and passion for music in his students that he feels. Jovan is looking forward to his teaching opportunity at Klaudia’s Music Studio in 2014.
