We teach theory as a part of music studies, in addition to any instrument. We offer one-on-one private theoretical lesson that covers all levels of Royal Conservatory of Music Examination (RCM) preparation. It is a mandatory requisite for levels 5 RCM and higher of any instrument (piano, violin, cello, guitar, double bass, etc.) Come in and ask your questions about theory, clarify what you know and learn more about requirements for each level.

Students who take private instrumental lessons should consider taking theory as early as they start the first level RCM, to be proficient at understanding all the principles and to be able to build up on this knowledge. We follow the newest syllabus and we accept students who take lessons at any other music institution.

Klaudia’s Music Studio has an extensive string department than comprises of students on violin, viola, cello and double bass. For them the Studio offers an additional weekly class to complement their private one-on-one class. It is the string orchestra and it has three different levels. We base the levels on the Royal Conservatory of Music grading system, but it is mostly only approximate, since some students do not take annual exams. Repertoire includes original works of the most famous music composers in history of music, as well as modern and unknown. Orchestra holds its own recital 4 times a year. The adult orchestra is for players who have done some playing in the past, maybe put an instrument on hold for some years and now feel like being a part of something wonderful and play with others in friendly atmosphere, with encouragement from the piers.

6:30-7:30 for MiniMiniMagicK and MiniMagicK – lower levels

8:30-9:30 for MagicK Orchestra – levels 5 and up

“We have a great group of adults who played seriously through their teens then didn’t touch their instrument for 20 years and are now getting back into it. They are lovely to work with and really get a lot out of the orchestra experience. We think there must be many more people in the same situation who would join if they knew it existed.” Ms. Alexis, the conductor.

The open house is here for you to discover what we offer. Children and adults are welcome. Even if taking private lessons at another school or privately.

MORE ABOUT THE VIOLIN CAMP

Klaudia’s Music Studio has been providing Violin Introductory Music Camp for young children since 2006. Program is specifically designed for children without musical experience, but also for those who already play an instrument and would like to try a new one. This informative educational program is beneficial for all children, with or without musical background.

Daily program includes notes reading, musical games, discovery of history of music, and the most important component – playing VIOLIN and all the other instruments. All efforts are directed to the goal of performing on stage at the mini-concert on Thursday or Friday.
